3 countries in 1 day

Today began at 3.30am after a great sleep. A taxi to the airport, a quick coffe and we were off to Linz in Austria. As we got into the high country of Austria there was snow on the ground! not fresh but snow all the same. An hour at Linz for some pastries and then we were on our next train to Passau. everything ran smoothly and we were picked up at the train station and delivered to our boat the Amaedus brilliant. Over 100 passengers on board and only 17 speak English and probably that many again are under 70 lol. That's ok we are here to relax and we have a lovely room and nice Austrian wine to drink. 

At our welcome drink this evening we had a beautiful sunset. We have tea at 7.30 at table 17. The odds of being able to speak their language is pretty slim.

Prague

I have a lovely few days in Prague. It has been cold but still no snow :(

The castle was beautiful. The streets are all cobbled. I had a fish pedicure where the fish eat the skin on your feet.

Berlin

I have been in Berlin for xmas. They have lots of Christmas markets and I even went ice skating. On xmas day I face timed Kodi and watched her and Ciara open their presents.

Not much happening in the rain, I went to Anne frank's house. Anne frank was a young jewish girl that with her family was hidden in the back of a house for 2 years during the war. She never got to go outside. They were eventually captured by the germans and she died.  They found her diaries she kept and published them.

There are lots of people in push bikes in amsterdam and I am scared one will tun me over.

Last day in paris

Today i went and saw monets waterlillies painting and it looked just like yours. I also went to harrods the big shop in london. Off to portugal tomorrow Quinn and Aston.

Paris

Today i went to the markets and up the eiffel tower. Saw a giant furby in a shop and geronimo stilton and mr men books in french.

Barcelona

I am still in Spain but now in Barcelona. Today I went to the Sagrada familia which is a massive church that is still not finished even though they began building it in 1800.

Madrid Spain

Took an overnight train to madrid Spain. We stayed in a lovely wee street that had a concert for children and there were people everywhere. We saw the sights on a hop on hop off bus and had a yummy Spanish buffet for tea. Today we are on a high speed train to Barcelona. I have a few pictures of trains for you Daniel and still getting police photos for you Charlie. There are police everywhere so maybe you may be a policeman in Europe Charles.

Ola room 5

I have been in Portugal for 2 days and it is very beautiful. The buildings are nice and some of the houses are tiled on the outside. Yes I did try sardines and they were horrible they tasted and smelt like cat food. Tonight we are going on a night train to madrid in Spain. It travels all night.

Not many days of school to go. Will you still follow the blog in the holidays?
